The aptly named site, OhNoTheyDidnt – actually did!
Today, the blog published as FACT an old April Fool’s Day JOKE that Robert Pattinson was replacing Tobey Maguire in “Spider-Man.”
[Catch your breath from laughter]
According to OhNoTheyDidnt, “The news dropped like a bombshell early this morning that Sony Pictures has signed Robert Pattinson (Twilight) to replace Tobey Maguire in the titular role in Spider-Man 4.”
Wait, it gets more ridiculous.
The site wrote, “In the official press release, [the Sony chairman] announced that Pattinson would not only be assuming the role of Peter Parker and his alter-ego, Spider-Man, in Spider-Man 4, but also in Spider-Man 5 and in a spin-off film to be announced at a later date.”
And OhNoTheyDidnt even “quoted” the film series’ director Sam Raimi as saying, “Decisions like these are always difficult. I know the fans liked Tobey — and I greatly enjoyed working with him – but Robert is the future of the franchise.”
Oh no!!!
Trust us, the site wasn’t joking. Those clowns even Tweeted out the story.

Renée Zellweger spent Christmas this year with boyfriend Bradley Cooper – and his parents, Gloria and Charlie.
The four celebrated the holiday in Los Angeles, and Zellweger was spotted bonding all week with Cooper's parents. On Dec. 21, the actress took them on a stroll in Venice, Calif. And on Christmas Eve, Zellweger and Cooper's mom, Gloria, went shopping together. "Renée seems to get along really well with Bradley's parents, " an eyewitness tells PEOPLE. "They were laughing and seemed to have a great time strolling around Venice."
On Dec. 24, Zellweger stopped by Bay Cities Italian Deli in Santa Monica, Calif., where she picked out several Italian delicacies. "Bradley's mom is Italian-American and it was obvious that Renée was making an effort to impress Bradley's mom with Christmas dishes," the eyewitness says, adding that the actress asked for help to make sure she picked out something authentic. Says the onlooker: "Renée was in a great mood and seemed very happy."

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has swept Bollywood beauty Katrina Kaif completely off her feet. And, if all goes well, she'll be meeting Pattinson this week during her annual family holiday in London.
Katrina says she got hooked to the Twilight quartet hottie the moment she saw the film. "I went and bought all the four Twilight books Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.
I can't put them down. I've been racing through the adventures of the hottest vampire, Edward Cullen, for the last one week.
I finished reading three books in less than four days. Now I'm into the fourth and I just can't get enough," she says.
Katrina now wants to meet Edward Cullen. "You don't understand. This is like an obsession for me. I can't get Robert Pattinson out of my head.
I see the love of my life in every object. I've never felt this way about any man before," she says. (wat)
A meeting between the two is discreetly being arranged. Though Katrina is not talking about it, her representatives are in touch with Robert Pattinson's agent.
Kat is in London for Christmas and is hoping to meet Pattinson this week.
"Obviously, I can't stand under his window to get his attention. So yes, the meeting has to be more formal. He says he's single, but I don't believe him. That's what they all say," says the besotted actress.
Desi Twilight?
Katrina is very keen to play Isabella Swan, Pattinson's love interest in the vampire chronicles, and is trying to convince one of her favourite directors to do a desi Twilight film.

Emily Blunt panics before red carpet appearances
Devil Wears Prada' actress Emily Blunt has admitted that she gets cold feet every time she steps on the red carpet.
And the actress says she's getting worried about the impending awards season as it means being judged for what she is wearing and she does not want to make a fashion faux pas, Female First online reported.
"I always get that panic when I step out of the car that everyone is going to hate it. I've had zippers that have broken too. Once when I was about to go on 'The Ellen Degeneres Show', my sister looked at the back of my legs and went 'Ohmygod!' I had a huge ladder up the back of my leg and the women on the show had to run around like chickens without their heads on to find me some new stockings," Blunt said.
Blunt recently revealed that her body was left numb from filming her upcoming movie 'The Young Victoria'.
The actress, who plays the former British monarch Queen Victoria in the period film, said the corsets she wore were so restrictive she couldn't feel her body during shooting.
"I learned how to survive when they lace you tight. It takes getting used to. You must inhale so your rib cage expands. This way, after you're all done up you can have room to breathe," Blunt said. "After a day's shooting, I'd instantly put on sweat pants. I needed something comfy. I needed to feel my inner organs working again!," she added.

Courteney Cox's husband David Arquette has a foolproof way of keeping the actress happy at Christmas - he showers her in jewels almost every year. The "Scream" actor has found a Los Angeles jeweler his wife of 10 years loves, and confesses when he's out of gift ideas gems and gold always wow his spouse.
He tells the New York Post, "I usually give my wife jewelry. Not Cartier. It's from the Rose Arch in L.A., a cool small designer kind of place where you don't spend as much on the packaging as you do on the gift. Beautiful artistic stuff."
Cox and Arquette exchanged gifts at their home in Malibu, California this year - an unexpected change of scenery for the longtime couple.
He explains, "We mostly go to Los Cabos (Mexico) at this time but, since we just finished our house in Malibu, this year it's a lazy Malibu Christmas."

Colin Firth despises the festive season so much he can't listen to the radio in December - because Christmas music makes him furious. The actor plays Ebenezer Scrooge's cheerful nephew Fred in Disney's 3D movie "A Christmas Carol", but insists he's actually more like the famous grump since he struggles to get into the holiday spirit every year.
He explains, "I have a profound loathing of Christmas - it's sad really. At this time of year, I am careful not to switch on the radio because those novelty jingles make me homicidal and plunge me into the heart of Scrooge territory. I think Christmas turns us all into Scrooge. Everyone is trying to throw happy stuff at you, and that's when I come over all humbug."
But he insists the film adaptation of Charles Dickens' story is the perfect remedy for people who hate the festivities.
He adds, "I think 'A Christmas Carol' is the best season story you'll find, because after its darkness, fear and regret, you're ready for a bit of joy by the end. Scrooge is an anti-hero for some reason - people admire this terrible old curmudgeon. Kids may be scared of the story, but you have to tell them it has a happy ending and that the ghosts are, in fact, acts of kindness to encourage Scrooge to change."

Treating the family to a Christmas to remember, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were spotted out at Disney’s California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, California.
The “El Cantante” couple made their way around the popular vacation spot on Christmas Eve - joined by children Cristian, Ryan, Max and Emme, as well as Jennifer’s mother, Guadalupe Lopez, and sister, Linda Lopez.
Not stopping at just one day, the happy family made a return visit to the California Adventure park on Christmas Day.
With J. Lo’s best friend, actress Leah Remini, along for the outing, the group spent time on the “it’s a small world Holiday” ride -which adds “Christmas traditions from around the world to it’s small figures and over 300,000 lights to its façade” during the holiday season.

Drummer Anthony Improgo has departed from Metro Station, leaving only vocalist/guitarist Trace Cyrus and guitarist Mason Musso as members. Cyrus tweeted, "and then there were two," and Improgo said, "thank you for the 3 years. you will always be my boys!!!!!!!"
This is the second member to leave the band in a little more than a month. Keyboardist Blake Healy announced he was no longer with the band in mid-November.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie felt the spirit of giving this holiday season.
The famously generous couple donated $100,000 to the American SOS Children's Villages, an alternative foster care organization with locations in the U.S. in Illinois and Florida.
"We have seen firsthand the remarkable job SOS does to raised orphaned and abandoned children and keep families together," Jolie, 34, said in a statement. "No one "ages out" of an SOS Village. Vocational training, advanced education, living assistance and more support are there forever."
Heather Paul, CEO of SOS Children's Villages USA, thanked the Jolie-Pitts for their generosity and said they were longtime supporters of the organization. "We are deeply grateful that this year they have included in their generosity our villages in Illinois and Florida and our 300 children who call SOS 'home,' " she said in a statement. "In this holiday season, many of us take for granted that we are surrounded by loving family members. The poor outcomes for foster children indicate that we must do a much better job of supporting them."
SOS Children’s Villages is the largest nonprofit organization in the world solely dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children. There are 500 villages in 132 countries. – Mary Green

If you'd like your own personal copy of AVATAR, hang on until late spring/summer 2010, when James Cameron says a 2-D version of the movie should come out, complete with deleted scenes of Na'vi tribal life. But how about a 3-D version? First there have to be enough Blu-ray DVD players in circulation, which is tricky considering that Blu-ray 3D specifications were just finalized (see here for the full story on those specs). But Avatar may actually drive the 3-D trend, so look for the first 3-D players to premiere at the January Consumer Electronics Show and a 3-D Avatar release by the end of 2010.
Idk, seems kinda long to have to wait for Blu-Ray, but I'm just in it to get it on 2D at least.
